How to request an assessment and find help at home in Western Newfoundland.

Start with the NL Health Services Western Zone Community Support Services Intake line at 1-866-566-3787. Services depend on assessed needs, program rules, and local availability. Calling does not guarantee a particular service, number of hours, piece of equipment, placement, or subsidy.

The Special Assistance Program may provide basic medical supplies and equipment to eligible people living in the community, including oxygen-related equipment, orthotics, and mobility or support equipment. Financial eligibility and program approval apply. Ask before buying or ordering.

Call 911 for immediate danger or a medical emergency. Call 811 for non-emergency health advice. This website does not arrange urgent care.
